The most common type of mold. Molten plastic is injected into a precisely machined steel cavity, and after cooling, it becomes a perfect plastic housing. The upfront mold cost is relatively high, but once mass production begins, the cost per part becomes extremely low.

The principle is similar to injection molding, except that plastic is replaced with high-temperature molten aluminum alloy or zinc alloy. The finished parts are both heavy and durable, with excellent heat dissipation performance.

Specially used to produce soft and elastic silicone or rubber components. If you want your device to be waterproof, such as IP68-rated, or resistant to drops and impact, this type of molding is essential.

Like a giant stapler, it uses several tons of pressure to instantly cut or press flat sheet metal into the required three-dimensional shape with a sharp “snap.” The production speed is extremely fast.

When the design has not yet been finalized and you do not dare to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a formal steel mold, you can use a low-cost silicone soft mold or 3D printing to first produce dozens or hundreds of samples for trial testing. Modification costs are extremely low.
