From Concept to Small-Batch Production: Co-Creating Arma, a 5kg Foldable E-Scooter

When designing next-generation hardware, true innovation isn’t just about competing in an existing red ocean — it’s about empowering visionary founders to unlock entirely new customer segments. Arma represents the very first product we co-developed alongside an ambitious tech startup.

From initial concept refinement to DFM engineering and now Small-Batch Trial Production, this project has been a deeply mutually beneficial journey. By combining their disruptive vision with our hardware engineering and supply chain execution, both teams grew together and achieved remarkable results:

📊 Key Data Insights from the Market Validation:
1️⃣ 76.4% of Car Owners plan to keep Arma stored in their vehicle trunks as a daily commute companion.
2️⃣ 65% of Backers are purchasing an e-scooter for the very first time.
3️⃣ 74% of Users have never used shared e-scooters before.

🔍 The Power of Hardware Co-Creation:
Traditional e-scooters (~25kg) are too bulky to fit into a drive-and-commute routine. By engineering a solution that folds down to A4 paper size and weighs only 5 kg, we helped turn a bold startup concept into an essential “Car Trunk Companion” and “Backpack Transit Tool” for urban professionals. We love supporting startups from 0 to 1 — taking hardware from napkin sketches to mass manufacturing.
